Why Work With Us
Chillingworth Maritime Advisory provides senior-level technical consultancy to shipowners, operators, insurers, P&I clubs, shipyards and legal teams across the UAE and internationally.
Led by John Chillingworth, former Chief Engineer of QE2 and a senior maritime executive with more than 50 years of operational experience, the consultancy brings something increasingly difficult to find: first-hand judgement. Advice grounded in what actually happens aboard ships, not simply what the procedure says should happen.
This includes a particular depth of expertise in Legionella, water safety, and hazardous materials litigation — grounded not in policy review, but in decades spent personally responsible for these systems at sea, and refined through direct collaboration with regulators including US Public Health, and audits conducted to WHO, CDC and EU SHIPSAN standards.
Beyond this, the consultancy advises on major machinery failures, dry dockings and complex ship projects, technical investigations, expert witness work, regulatory compliance and asset assessment — always with the same standard: reports and opinions that hold up not just on paper, but under cross-examination.Personalized service tailored to your unique needs.
Experienced professionals dedicated to your success.
Proven results that speak for themselves.
